NYFW Favs: Thom Browne: A piece to be remembered!

At this point it should be clear that I'm not so much the eccentric kind, but I found this collection very interesting. It's the first time that I heard about Thom Browne, he debuted his first womenswear collection in 2003 -according to Google-, before that, he was all about men fashion. The thing is that, as eccentric as this Spring Summer collection might be, with its touch of masculinity, I think that each look on the runway had "a piece to be remembered". One that I could wear separately and could make me stand out the Thom's way, but with subtlety.

The artistic prints and the raincoats were my favorite pieces.
Los estampados artísticos y sus impermeables fueron mis piezas favoritas.

And let's not even talk about these coats!

NYFW Favs: Tory Burch: I want to be that girl!

I don't know who inspires Tory Burch's collections exactly. I'm sure they all have a lot of herself and her own experiences. But all I know is that I want to be that girl! From Tory Burch's Spring-Summer 2015 I like everything! I want it all! Going through the pictures, I was like: "I like that for Sundays", "I like this for work", "This one for a day with the girls", "That one to travel"...

The collection has everything I praise: colors, feminism and elegance, but all comfortable and detailed.

For work

For Sundays

Out with the girls

For traveling

Just to impress with good taste

NYFW Favs: Vera Wang and how to top your dresses!

I have to say that this Vera Wang collection for the Spring-Summer 2015 was very sad for my taste. Although, I think we all should take notes of this nice little jackets and vests that the designer offers to top our favorite springy dresses.

NYFW Favs: Ralph Lauren Satin and Cargos in the Perfect Timing!

In another time, mixing satin textures and cargo pants would have been an awful idea. But as everything in marketing, it's all about the perfect timing. Satin is usually on the verge of luxury and sophistication, while cargo pants are far on the other extreme as a utility piece that is meant to be comfy and functional. How they work together for Ralph Lauren

When I saw this proposals, I thought: "When should one wear this? Day or night?" But why not both. Nowadays, women are living in a fast world that sometimes doesn't allow us to get home to change before a cocktail. Then practical outfit combinations that can get us through the whole journey are more than welcome.

I also found the excess of accessories a different touch, since we are talking about Ralph Lauren who is usually very simple in terms of accessories.

NYFW Favs: J. Mendel Capes and Furry Coats!

From the J.Mendel collection for Spring Summer 2015, I stay with the coats! They're lovely! The cape style is a trend that's been going on for a few seasons, but I don't mind having it still next Spring. I also selected a few dresses which artwork I feel related to.

NYFW Favs: CK Collection and the Best Leather Jackets!

To continue with my selection of favorites from NYFW, I want to share some pieces from the CK Collection proposal for Spring Summer 2015. As usual, the pieces are simple and fresh, for women who praise effortless fashion and traditional elegance. I liked the parch details on the dresses, that's a trend I noticed across different designers. Although, my favorite thing from the CK Collection runway were the perfect leather dresses and jackets!

NYFW Favs: Marc Jacobs Details!

After surfing through the Fashion Weeks' pictures, I'm ready to start my selection of favorites for a series of posts that I'll be sharing during the following days. Feel free to share with me your thoughts and opinions about my selections and if you would have include someone else among these.

I'll start with Marc Jacobs. I have to say that I don't think of myself as someone who would always wear Marc Jacobs, but I do admire a lot the talent of the designer. In this Spring-Summer 2015 collection, I was very enchanted by the details in every piece: the rounded cut-outs, the buttons, the unexpected pockets... the whole complexity of the structures, but the simplicity of the whole looks at the same time. This is definitely my favorite Marc Jacobs collection of all times! Here's my selection.
